What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup is sometimes called semi-permanent make up or micropigmentation. They are all forms of cosmetic tattooing but there is a major difference between this treatment and a traditional tattoo.

Permanent make up treatments are performed using a digital machine that implants hypoallergenic pharmaceutical grade pigments into the top layer of the skin. Fine lines are drawn that look like hairs and these can be micro-weaved into your own natural hairs to restore a full natural brow, or a complete brow can be created using multiple ‘hair’ strokes.

A traditional tattoo goes much deeper and uses different pigments – tattoo ink is unsuitable for the sensitive skin of the facial features.

Permanent make up pigments are made from mineral and organic material and are designed to fade over time, lasting between 12-18 months after which you can top up your permanent make up with a maintenance treatment called a colour boost to refresh colour, shape, and definition.

A classic timeless brow shape will frame your face and restore your natural beauty.

Why do i want permanent makeup?

The most common reason people decide to have permanent make up is over-zealous tweezing of the eyebrows through teenage years and early 20’s. As time passes, further natural thinning may occur which means that by the age of 25 your eyebrows may have to be pencilled in.

Pencilling in can take an average of 20 minutes a day, every day, and even with perfectly pencilled in brows the wear and tear of the day can cause runs and smudges to even the most carefully applied make up.

Women are under constant pressure to look good all day and permanent make up provides an alternative to constant checking or repairing.

Permanent make up means no more smudged eyebrows or eyeliner just before that unexpected meeting with your boss, or that all important career-changing presentation.

It provides an irresistible and indispensable time saving, confidence boost and stress-less choice. It means you have the perfect level of daytime make up to go to the shops or build on for that special event!

Permanent make up for eyebrows and eyeliner can boost confidence, redefine facial features and free you of the daily chore of basic make up. It can also benefit cancer patients by helping them to get through a difficult treatment period and relieve the worry of eyebrow hairs not coming back.

Permanent make up for lips allows soft shades that complement your natural lip colour to be placed in the lips as a line, or a blush, defining your natural lip contour and make you look younger by replacing colour lost through the aging process.

It can also help to balance unevenness and make your lips look fuller. It also never smudges or runs.
